FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking: Belgium Retains Spot, As Nigeria Drops Two Places To 36th

The FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking for the month of October 2021 has been published today with putting into consideration a total of 160 games which included qual

ifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, friendlies, and the final rounds of the UEFA Nations League

Belgium retains being top in the world despite their UEFA Nations League defeat to France. Brazil is 2nd position with France moving a step higher to be in the top 3. Italy also moves a step higher to be in 4th place and England drops 2 places to be no 5 on the list. Among the top five, only France and Italy have improved their positions.

A little further down, Spain moves 1 place to be 7th at the expense of Portugal who drops 1 spot to become 8th.

It is worth of note that Morocco in 29th position, Egypt in 44th position and Russia in 33rd position all moved 4 places up, Saudi Arabia in 49th position and south Africa in 66th position both moved 7 places up as they all made strides on the back of two wins from two this month in Qatar 2022 qualifying matches.

Nigeria dropped 2 places to be 36th on the table after their loss to Central African Republic in Lagos who moved 9 places up to 119th position.
