Setting aside ethno-religious differences and the diverse factors that often divide us as a nation while working jointly with efforts from the citizenry and the federal government has been said to be the only way to put to rest the rising state of insecurity in Nigeria.
The Speaker House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila made this disclosure today in a press release to mark the commencement of the Special Summit on National Security organized by the house of representatives in Abuja.
The speaker in his press release stated that the nation was under attack by Insurgents, Bandits, Kidnappers and other criminal elements however stated that efforts must be made to confront the realization that our previous and current approaches at addressing the challenges of insecurity have failed thus we must rise to the moment with passion and perspective.
While stating that it would be difficult to attain the peace needed for development, he implored Nigerians to uphold the honor and glory of Nigeria and make become a place of peace and justice forevermore.
Gbajabiamila thanked President Muhammadu Buhari who was represented by the Secretary to the federal government Boss Mustapha for his support and promise that the recommendations from the summit would be given due attention and implementation.
