Federal Government Returns Repatriated “Stolen funds” to Delta State Government
The House of Representatives’ Ad hoc Committee on Assessment and Status of All Recovered Loots Movable and Immovable Assets from 2002 to 2020 by Agencies of the Federal Government of Nigeria for its Effective Efficient Management and Utilization have today been told in Abuja by the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris that the federal government have returned to Delta State the £4.2m recently repatriated from the United Kingdom.

While briefing the house committee on the current position of the former Governor James Ibori’s loot said that such funds looted from the treasury of states were always returned as states can sue the Federal Government to recover such funds.
