Nigeria Military Calls for Credible and Timely Information To Curtail Security Threats

Nigerians have been admonished to support the efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies who are fighting to bring to an end the diverse security challenges facing the country by providing credible and timely information that will facilitate proactive engagements to address the threats.

Making the admonishment today at a press briefing the Acting Director Defence Media Operations, Brigadier General BE ONYEUKO said that the security forces will in no way be deterred from sustaining the tempo of operations despite plans and efforts of the criminal elements to perpetrate nefarious activities so as to discredit the government.

During the press briefing held today at the defence headquarters old conference room the acting Director Defence Media Operations disclosed that the Military High Command have renamed the ongoing counter-insurgency operation in the North East from Operation LAFIYA DOLE to Operation HADIN KAI adding that the new name reflects the renewed spirit of jointness in the North East operational environment.

ONYEUKO while saying that the military operations inhibited activities of economic saboteurs and other criminal elements added that some personnel paid the supreme price in the course of these operations.
