30 of 40 Victims Of Early Morning Abduction in Katsina Community Rescued
30 people out of the 40 abducted in the early hours of today have been rescued by the combined efforts of security forces, vigilantes and the local community who rallied and pursued after the gunmen who abducted them while the victims were holding the their prayers, known as Tahajjud in the Kwata community, in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to the Katsina State Police command spokesperson, Superintendent of Police SP Gambo Isah, he said that the abductors were pursued while heading towards Dumburun in Zamfara State.

He however said that an investigation after the rescue operation revealed that there were 10 other people still unaccounted for and that he could not determine whether the remaining were in the hands of the gunmen or have escaped.
The police spokesperson said all the rescued people have been reunited with their families with no one shot or injured
