BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY ANNOUNCE DEATH OF DUKE OF EDINBURGH, PRINCE PHILIP
The British Royal Family has announced the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh who passed away today Friday the 9th of April 2021 at the age of 99. The death of Duke of Edinburgh was confirmed in a tweet from the verified twitter handle of the British Royal Family and also on their official website.
The Brief statement read: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”

The prince married Princess Elizabeth in 1947, five years before she became Queen, and he has been at the Queen’s side for more than six decades of her reign until his recent demise. It’s a known fact that Prince Philip had been in and out of hospital a couple of times through the year and in recent times as march 2021, after spending a month in hospital.
