Extend NIN Deadline to February 28th 2021 – House of Reps To Minister

The House of Representatives has advised the Nigerian Communications Commission and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy to extend the deadline for the new regulation on the registration of mobile telephone SIM cards to 28th of February next year to give subscribers more time to register for the National Identity Number.

You would recall that the NCC warned yesterday that subscribers who failed to meet the December 30th deadline would have their Phone lines blocked.

The lawmakers Posited that it would be impossible for Nigerians to meet up with the requirement within two weeks.
