EMEKA IHEDIOHA LOSES AT SUPREME COURT AGAIN
Six out of the seven-man panel of the apex court led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad have on Tuesday dismissed the application for review of its January 14, 2020, judgment which removed Emeka Ihedioha as Imo State Governor and declared Hope Uzodinma as the valid winner of the last governorship election in the state.
The lone dissenting Judge Justice Chima Nweze in his disagreeing with today’s judgment held that the decision of the supreme court ought to be reviewed and that the court has the power to overrule itself in a situation where such a judgment was not seen to have met the justice of the case.
