IKEJA ELECTRIC SHOWS LOVE, DONATES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, CLINICAL SUPPLIES
An ultramodern phototherapy machine and clinical supplies has been donated to the Paediatric Unit of the Ikorodu General Hospital, by Nigeria’s leading electricity distribution company Ikeja Electric Plc (IE).
In a statement by a team comprising staff from the Ikeja Electric Plc Headquarters in Ikeja and its Ikorodu Business Unit said the donation to the hospital was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility -CSR activities towards improvement of healthcare.

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of IE, Mrs. Enobong Ezekiel while expressing the Disco’s unwavering commitment to positively impact on lives and give back to the society where it operates said Ikeja Electric is a customer centric organisation and added that the donation is significant especially as the world is celebrating love in the month of February.
In her statement she also disclosed that the theme of this year’s celebration is ‘Clean Love’ and that the organisation frowns at the use of unprescribed drugs.
Ikeja Electric has also come to appreciate the management and staff for providing healthcare services to the neighbourhood and residents of Ikorodu town.

Dr. Olufunmilayo Bankole, the Medical Director, General Hospital Ikorodu while commending Ikeja Electric said the hospital was really elated to receive the ultramodern phototherapy machine and other clinical supplies.
He also enjoined other organisations to partner with government to make healthcare service in Lagos State much better than it is currently and added that the equipment would go a long way in the treatment of children with Jaundice.

Head of Corporate Communications, Ikeja Electric, Felix Ofulue, while speaking further on the CSR initiatives said as a business IE is very passionate about giving back to the society in which it operate and that the company’s CSR is predicated on three pillars – education, empowerment and health.
