NIGERIA GOVERNORS’ FORUM CHAIRMANSHIP: BUHARI, FAYOSE CONGRATULATE FAYEMI

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has today congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State. Governor John Kayode Fayemi on his emergence as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, President Buhari said Fayemi’s choice by consensus indicated the degree of confidence reposed in him by his colleagues.

The President urged the new chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum to see the election as a unique opportunity to forge a harmonious and fruitful working relationship with the Federal Government and other tiers of government.

Mr President also commended the immediate past Nigeria Governors’ Forum chairman, Gov. Abdul’aziz Yari of Zamfara for his leadership style.

The Immediate past Governor of Ekiti State Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose has also congratulated Fayemi on his emergence as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

Fayose took to his verified twitter handle to congratulate Fayemi who also succeeded him as Governor Of Ekiti State.

Fayose tweeted ” I congratulate Gov Kayode Fayemi on his appointment and elevation as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF). It is well deserved for you and the entire people of Ekiti. Politics will come and go, but Ekiti State will remain eternal. Once again, you have my best wishes”.
