Google To Block Huawei Following US-China Trade Dispute
Internet Giant Google is set to bar Chinese smartphone maker, Huawei, from some updates to the Android operating system, thereby dealing a devastating blow to the Chinese company.
Huawei smartphones would be at the receiving end of this decision any moment from now. Google has informed Huawei users that major apps will continue to work on their devices for now.
This comes after the Trump administration added Huawei to a list of companies that American firms cannot trade with unless they have a licence.
Users of the Huawei brand of phones would not be able to access playstore, update existing apps nor use features like email when this order takes full effect.
