Lagos Witnesses 3rd Building Collapse In Three Weeks
Barely a week after a building under demolition collapsed in Lagos and three weeks after the first incident of building collapse in Lagos Island Area of Lagos State. Another two-storey building has collapsed today.
The three-storey building was located at number 50, Kakawa St, Campos, Lagos Island.
The Lagos State Management Agency, has however confirmed that no one was trapped in the rubble.
First responders have arrived at the scene to ensure that all safety measures are put in the place to safeguard life and property of residents.
The Lagos State Government has now urged occupants of buildings marked for demolition across the state to immediately vacate them pending the arrival of the State’s demolition team.

The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in the State, Mr. Rotimi Ogunleye, made this appeal today.
Ogunleye also revealed that resettlement centres have been opened to accommodate those affected by this development.
