UEFA To Investigate Man City’s Alleged Breach Of Financial Fair Play Rules

European Football governing body UEFA are investigating English Premier League Champions Manchester City for alleged financial fair play violations.

Uefa said the investigation “will focus on several alleged violations of FFP that were recently made public in various media outlets”.

The latest announcement by Uefa comes amid several publications by German news magazine Der Spiegel. However in a swift response, the Premier League champions have described the accusations as entirely false.

The club adds that its published accounts are full and complete and a matter of legal and regulatory record. Uefa says it will make no further comment while the investigation is ongoing.
