The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has once again cleared the air on the supplementary elections that would be conducted alongside the governorship, state Houses of Assembly and the Federal Capital Territory Area council elections tomorrow (Saturday 9th March 2019).
Speaking to the media the INEC director of publicity and voter education, Oluwale Ossaze revealed that the supplementary elections will take place in about 14 states and it does not include the Presidential election.
Ossaze announced that the supplementary elections will be for 7 Senatorial seats and 24 House of Representatives positions across Nigeria.
Speaking on the issue of “missing card readers” in Bayelsa state, he said the missing card readers will be of no benefit to whomever stole them. Stating that the Card Readers were configured to work only on a specific day and cannot be used without reconfiguration by authorised INEC personnel.
