Rivers State PDP, APC Decry Election Day Violence In Parts Of The State…
The PDP in Rivers State has described yesterday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections as a black day in Rivers State. In a statement issued by the PDP Campaign Council in Rivers State The Director of Information and Communication, Emma Okah said the elections turned bloody with many PDP members allegedly killed by the military in Akuku Toru Local Government Area.
The PDP also alleged that there was wide spread violence in other parts of the state, The Council also pointed accusing fingers at the APC, the Police and The military alleging that they were responsible for the violence.
The APC on it’s own part claims that elections didn’t hold in Akukutoru Local Government Area due to the massive violence allegedly perpetrated by The PDP according to a press statement signed by the APC’s Chris Finebone.
The APC laid the blame for all the election day violence on the PDP, also revealing that Sporadic gunshots witnessed in the morning of the elections in Abonnema.
