Grammy 2019 Fall-Out: Cardi B Rants On Instagram Then Shuts Account Down

A few hours ago, Rapper Cardi B was in the news for not just winning the Grammy, for best rap album category for her debut album “Invasion of Privacy,” in a category that also had the late Mac Miller, Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, and Travis Scott.

The Bodak Yellow Crooner Became the first solo female Rapper to achieve this feat, although Lauryn Hill had won the same category as a member of “Fugees” in 1997.

Problems is, many fans and Industry stakeholders have criticised organisers of the award for their choice of Cardi B as winner in this category. Many tweeted about hoe Rap Legends, Like 2 Pac, Notorious B.I.G, NAS and a couple of others had been overlooked by the organisers of the Grammys, Top Female rapper and rival Nicky Minaj who has won several Awards and set many records had also never won the Grammy in this category and Social media went into overdrive.

Cardi B who is known for regular rants on her Instagram, she even had something to say during the government shutdown back in January, as now dropped another video hitting back at her critics, She talked about how hard she worked for her success, the rapper talked about al the sacrifices she had to make to put the album together.

The Rapper who also performed her hit track “Money” during the Grammys on Sunday has now shut down her Instagram following her latest rant on the social media site. It remains to be seen if she would return to the platform like other celebrities to had taken this route earlier only to trace their steps back.
