On Sunday, Renowned Writer and founder of @BookBuzzNG Lola Shoneyin Tweeted an Image of The Late Chinua Achebe’s Book “Things Fall Apart” In her tweet she simply wrote
“Hey book-collectors! My friend is selling a first print, first edition of #ThingsFallApart for N1m. Reply here and she’ll contact you.”
A few hours after this tweet went out, Shoneyin Tweeted an update, and it was simply outstanding.
“The book has been bought by an anonymous buyer. Thanks for your RTs.”
An Anonymous buyer had moved swiftly to acquire the collectors item. The Award winning book “Things Fall Apart” is arguably one of Achebe’s biggest works ever and it even made it to the TV Screens in Nigeria Years ago. The swift sale is not just a testament to the prowess of the late writer but also to the premium Book lovers place on such “timeless pieces”
