Fayemi’s Wins Another Legal Battle, As Appeal Court Uphold’s His Election As APC’s Governorship Candidate
An Appeal Sitting in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State has pronounced that Mr Kayode Fayemi did not violate any law when he ran for the office of governor of the state in 2018.
The Case had been brought to court by Fayemi’s Party member and rival Mr Segun Oni, Who contested against Fayemi at the Party’s Governorship Primaries last year.
Oni Who finished second at the Party’s Primary had petitioned the court that Fayemi should resigned his position as a minister of the Federal Government 30 days to the party primaries.

The appeal court affirmed that Fayemi, though a public servant, was not an employee of the public service and thus it was not compulsory for him to resign as a minister 30 days to the party primary.
