Appeal Court Declines Suspended CJN’s Suit To Stop His Trial At The CCT

An Appeal Court in Abuja has today dismissed the suit filed by the suspended chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, seeking a stay of execution meaning seeking a court order to temporarily suspend the execution of his ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

The Appeal Court said the nature of the charges levelled against Onnoghen warrants that proceeding at the CCT continue as earlier scheduled.
