Iran Vows To Counter U.S On Persian Gulf

A high ranking Iranian navy commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari has today revealed that Iran will respond to any hostile action the US Government carries out the in the Persian Gulf.

Sayyari said “Iran is ready to respond to any hostile U.S. action” the Iranian Naval Commander also asserted that Iran does not consider the arrival of a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Gulf last week a significant threat.

Sayyari according to the semi-official ISNA news agency said Iran would not allow U.S warship come near its territorial waters in the Persian Gulf.

The USS John C. Stennis entered the Gulf on Friday, ending a long absence of U.S. aircraft carriers in the region as tensions rise between Tehran and Washington.
