Army Called In As Drone Disturbance Continues At Gatwick Airport
UK Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson has revealed to the media that the Army has been called to try to help solve the problem with drones that as disrupted flight schedules since the first incident was reported hours ago.
It’s been confirmed that the sole purpose of the drone is to cause confusion as the drones are preventing planes from landing or taking off.
Interference from the drones has heightened tension amongst travellers at London Gatwick Airport as flights have either been, delayed, rescheduled, diverted or cancelled outright.
The Police have also refused to shoot down the drones for safety reasons. So the Army has been brought in to use military tactics to stop the drones or better still track the operators.
