Radio Presenter, Tosyn Bucknor Dies at 37.

Oluwatosin Bucknor popularly known as Tosyn Bucknor a.k.a Area Mama has been reported dead. She was reportedly found dead by her husband, Aurelien Boyer of 3 years in their home on Monday night after returning from work.

Tosyn Bucknor who was the younger sister to Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, owner of Zapphire events was later confirmed dead by Onome Obruthe, her brother in-law. She was born on August 15th, 1981 and had sickle cell anaemia which prompted her to start ‘These Genes Project’ to help people with the condition.

She was the brain behind “One Mic Naija”, and also was more popular as a presenter with Top Radio Lagos where she excelled for 7 years before moving to Inspiration Fm Lagos. The Multi-talented Bucknor also dabbled into acting as she also featured in “Dazzling Mirage” a movie about Sickle Cell Anaemia.
